Explosive Review: Twilight

So last night I went to see Twilight with an over excited group of friends. No before I get to the review let me just clarify how crazy it was at that midnight showing on a THURSDAY night!!  There were girls EVERYWHERE everywhere from ages 1-80! I had friends who walked out of the movie crying at how “beautiful” it was.

No I have never read the books, so I really wanted to give twilight a chance. But from doing a lot of research on the story and characters I felt like I was getting a very watered down version of the story. It felt like the movie would jump through time and space to the next scenes and that sort of strained my view on the films outcome. I almost feel gypped that the movie had so many holes throughout. The group of girls I had come with were in deep turmoil because half thought it was a great adaptation and others were appalled at how much was left out. It seemed like the majority of the people who enjoyed the film were the ones least involved with the story, or haven’t read any of the books. I definitely think the movie could have been paced better and maybe even made a bit longer to add more  scenes of interest. As a film in general I say that Twilight was not a masterpiece, but it seems like it would bee a great date movie. But as an adaptation and as a film that was suppose to be one of the best of the year, I believe that Twilight was to over hyped and that’s what killed it.

What do you guys think of Twilight?

Film Grenade gives Twilight a dud… 6.5/10

When I first seen the preview I was already excitied to see it, and when I watched the scientific romance it was worth it. The awkward and shy ness of Edward and his nervousness towards Bella and her trustworthy love made the movie something to dwell over. All I can say is if you like romance and science-fiction then u should watch this.

I watched it, I know the movie wasn’t what I would have expected it to be, but I enjoyed it!!
Especially, when Edward and Bella walks side by side. Everyone stares at them.
    Ummm…
The ‘Baseball Scene’, was great! I loved it!! Alice’s style of pitching was cute!! I keep on doing it! Hehehe…
Yeah and when Jacob and Edward glares at each other! WOW! You could see some rival thing or enemy!
    Lol!
I enjoyed it and agreed that they could put more scenes!
    Make it longer.
I still am a fan though.
    I think 9/10!
    That’s still good.
I understand why it was short too.
It’s hard to turn a like about 400 paged book into a 1 or 2 hour film.

The movie was okay. After reading the books, though, it is kind of a letdown. One of the great things about it is that it is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again without ever getting tired of it. The worst thing about it, though, was definitely Kristen Stewart. I geuss that she looks enough like Bella, but she is terrible at playing her! All in all, I definately liked the books better than the movie, and those of you who haven’t read the books are thoroughly insane, and should get to it!
