Transformers 2 in 3D?

The “2008 ShoWest Edition” of the Dolby newsletter has a list of upcoming 3D movies and guess what movie is on the list. You got it, Transformers 2! Transformers 2 is not locked in as a 3D movie yet because they are waiting to see the availability of Digital 3D and IMAX 3D screens. One major problem is that Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is coming out 5 days after Transformers 2 and that would take up most of the Digital 3D screens.

Michael Bay has confirmed that he has cast Isabel Lucas as Alice in the Transformers sequel. This was confirmed on Michael Bay’s message boards, but who knows what actually is true if it is coming from Michael Bay since he’s having so much fun tricking us.

I think Transformers 2 would look cool in 3D but I’m not sure I want it to come out that way. I hate wearing those damn glasses. Not only that, when the movie comes out for home entertainment, you can’t watch it in the same form. I feel that it might lower the viewing experience at home. What do you guys think?
