There is a rumor going around on the web that not too many people are happy with. Matthew McConaughey as Captain America? Marvel announced yesterday that they were making a Captain America movie which will come out 2011. According to a source from Cinema Blend, How do you guys feel about this? I’m not too sure how I would like to see Matthew McConaughey as Captain America. I was wrong about Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man. I thought that it would distract me from the movie but Robert Downey Jr was great and made the movie what it was. But I don’t think this will be the case with McConaughey. Don’t be shy, tell us what you think about this rumor.

Do we really want a guy who looks like a male stripper as Captain America? Matthew McConaughey is well hated worldwide by the general male population because he look like a total sleazebag and seems to be one in real life too.
Isn’t Captain America supposed to be all pure and great and honourable and all that? Why not just hire Dennis Rodman to play Cap instead? Why not choose a whimpy little crybaby like Tobey Maguire to play the tough, wise cracking Spiderman? Why not pick a guy with a head the size of a watermelon like Ben Affleck to play the acrobatic Daredevil? Why not choose whitebread Jennifer Garner to play the hispanic Electra? Oh and give her a fringe to make her look extra hot. Oh wait….
They might have managed to get past the fact that Cap is walking American propoganda if they picked the right actor. Foolish choice Marvel. Maybe one of these days you’ll try asking the fans what they want instead of letting a talent agent make uninformed decisions for you that destroy franchises.
Oh and well done on choosing Downey for Iron Man
