Today Marvel shareholders announced that 4 new marvel films will be coming up in 2010 and 2011. They were very pleased at the success of Iron Man and have started to think of what other films they could put together. The first is Iron Man 2 announced for an April 30, 2010 release date. The next 3 films are scheduled for the summer of 10 and 11. Thor is scheduled for June 4th 2010, and The First Avenger: Captain America (working title) is hitting May 6th, 2011. The final film is the hugely anticipated superhero team movie The Avengers set for July 2011! Ant man was also on the list but had no set release date.

Is anyone else giddy right now? I’m freaking out at this news! Iron Man 2, a new Captain America movie, and the Avengers!! I’m so excited to see how these all turn out and hopefully they will be as good as Iron Man is. The actor who stars as Cap will probably have to shoot two films at the same time since they will be released in such close proximity.
